Marketing Placement Student

Decora’s Marketing Placement is a year long opportunity commencing July 2025.

Based in our head office in Lisburn, this role offers students the opportunity to gain practical experience of B2B marketing campaigns and brand marketing, within a fast paced and creative environment.

At Decora, our dynamic and innovative Marketing Team plays a key role in brand development, product launches, and delivering engaging marketing campaigns. If you have a passion for creativity and strategic thinking, this opportunity will allow you to gain valuable industry experience and contribute to impactful projects.

The Marketing Placement Student will be mentored by the Marketing Manager and will work closely with the Marketing and Design Teams to support the development and promotion of Decora’s new and existing window covering products and systems.

 

Working hours: Monday – Thursday 8.30am to 5.00pm, Friday 8.30am to 2.00pm (37.5 hours per week)

Location: Lisburn, BT28 2FL

Main duties and responsibilities
  • Management of quote requests for POS material as required by the Marketing and Design teams.
  • Develop commercial awareness and apply this approach to all projects.
  • Support the creation of direct mail and email campaigns.
  • Support the Marketing team in the creation of Brand marketing material and POS.
  • Creation of content for social media and digital brand support.
  • Liaise with the Samples Department to ensure customer’s needs are met.
  • Research the market for new trends, competitor activity and any other relevant research topics.
  • Support the development of bespoke marketing material for customers.
  • Creation and design of Decora’s internal staff magazine.
  • Carry out general departmental administration duties.

Essential requirements
  • Be a full-time student registered with a NI University
  • Currently studying a Marketing, CAM or CMPR degree is desired, however, accepting applications from Business Management/ Business Studies degree
  • Strong IT skills and familiar with digital marketing tools
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Creative and keen eye for detail
