Established in 1979, Decora is a family-owned business that has grown substantially over the past 40 years to become one of the most successful and trusted blind manufacturers in the UK & Europe.

500,000 sq. ft. of state of the art production facilities in England and Northern Ireland, manufacturing more than 50,000 blinds every week.

Our founders, Lynda and Michael Dickson start trading as Decora.
1980
The main product offering at the beginning of Decora’s history was Dutch Canopy’s and Folding Arm Awnings, targeted at the Northern Ireland market.
1989
Decora expands its target market to the South of Ireland.
1993
Lynda and Michael’s sons, Stuart and Russell Dickson join the business.
1997
Decora launch Timberlux Hand Crafted Wood Collection.
2001
Decora moves to current head office site, which has continued to expand to facilities of 330,000 sq ft in Lisburn.
2004
Sunwood is launched to the trade. This new style of production of a wood venetian blind, made wood venetians an affordable product.
2007
30,000sq ft purpose built facilities open, dedicated to the production of the Sunwood Brand.
2009
The first Fabric Box Roller, Vertical, Panel and Roof collection is launched.
2014
Birmingham wholesale hub opened to generate next day delivery throughout the whole of the UK.
